The sample financial statements reflect the demo records, including unclassified sales and zero recorded cost on those example sales. Elastik account codes require accountant review; this is a mapping-file workflow.

Episode fifteen. Accounting, part two. The Journal holds every posted entry. For adjustments like monthly depreciation, click New entry. Add a description, then the lines. Debit Depreciation with 4,500 rupees, and credit Accumulated Depreciation. Type 4,000 by mistake, and the form shows exactly how much it's off by. It won't post until it balances. Correct it to 4,500, and it's balanced. Click Post entry. Posted entries are never edited. To correct one, click Reverse, and confirm. A new entry posts the opposite lines, and both stay in the Journal, so the history is always complete. The Profit and Loss covers any period. This month: 353,945 rupees of income, and a net profit of 88,405 rupees. Food and beverage performance splits income, cost of sales, gross profit and margin between food and beverage. The demo sales here have no food or beverage classification, and no recorded cost, so they appear under Other, and cost of goods sold is zero. Below, every income and expense account, from rent and utilities to salaries and wages. The Balance Sheet shows what the restaurant owns and owes, on any date. Total assets equal liabilities plus equity: 104,505 rupees. The Trial Balance lists every account. Total debits equal total credits, so the status reads Balanced. Click an account to open its General Ledger: every posted line, with a running balance. Every statement exports to CSV, Excel, or PDF. At month end, open Fiscal periods, and lock the month, so nothing more can be posted into it. Here, April 2026. Close year becomes available once every period is locked. It moves the year's profit into equity. If your accountant uses Elastik, Elastik GL mappings link each Codeblix account to its Elastik code, with its posted activity. Codes stay Unconfirmed, and Needs Review, until your accountant checks them. Use Export CSV to send the list, and Import mappings to load the file they return. Last episode: your daily routine, from opening to close.
