Directors can review the company picture, while project managers, quantity surveyors, procurement teams, storekeepers and finance staff can investigate the records behind an individual job or cost item.

Multiple-project capability does not mean an unlimited-project plan. Your quotation confirms the companies, modules, users and project allowance included in the subscribed scope.

A connected construction workflow

Use the approved BOQ as a working commercial reference rather than a document that disappears after tender. The connected journey can cover:

1. Set up the client, project and tender scope.
2. Import or enter the BOQ, review the lines and prepare internal rate build-ups.
3. Approve the execution budget and control later revisions or variations.
4. Raise requisitions, compare suppliers, issue purchase orders and record goods received.
5. Manage site stock, measured progress, subcontract certificates and client valuations.
6. Review approved project costs, balances, forecasts and company accounts.

Procurement, site work, subcontract certification, client billing and finance repeat throughout a project. A purchase is not the same as material consumption, measured progress is not the same as client payment, and a current commercial snapshot is not final accounting profit.

BOQ import, review and controlled revisions

Stage BOQs from CSV, XLS or XLSX files for preview and row-level review before they become the approved working basis. Native text-based PDF extraction can be assessed where appropriate. Scanned PDFs and photographs require separately confirmed recognition services and sample testing; they are not presented as universal automatic imports.

Keep client-facing quantities and selling rates separate from the company's internal cost build-up. Approved versions remain available when a later revision, omitted item or variation changes the job, so the commercial team can explain what changed without erasing the original baseline.

Company rate library and detailed build-ups

Maintain reusable resources and work-rate templates in a company Schedule of Rates library. A build-up can combine materials, labour, plant and other resources, with explicit wastage, overhead and markup assumptions. Select an existing company rate while preparing a draft BOQ, or create a project-specific analysis for unusual work without silently changing the standard library.

New resource prices or template versions are deliberately adopted into the relevant draft. They do not automatically reprice an approved BOQ or historical certificate. The demonstration catalogue provides reference items and illustrative recipes; your own approved company library and resource assumptions are confirmed during implementation.

Measure progress and investigate cost variance

Record approved physical progress independently from claims and receipts. The internal build-up can calculate the labour, material, plant and other resources allowed for the work actually measured as complete. Compare that earned resource allowance with compatible project actuals for the same period and units.

This makes an over-budget material request or labour variance visible for review before it is hidden inside a project total. Missing build-ups, incomplete actual costs or incompatible units remain clear exceptions to resolve; they are not treated as zero cost.

Procurement, goods receipts and supplier invoices

Start a material or service request against the relevant project and cost item. Apply the agreed approval policy, obtain supplier quotations, compare price, specification, delivery and other commercial terms, then record the authorised award and purchase order. Partial orders and controlled order changes remain visible.

At delivery, record accepted, damaged, rejected and outstanding quantities separately. Three-way matching connects the purchase order, eligible goods receipt note and supplier invoice, while quantity and price exceptions are routed for review. Approved supplier documents then enter the internal accounting workflow without intentionally creating duplicate costs.

Site inventory and material movements

Track stock by store or site location, with available and reserved quantities kept distinct. Record requests, approvals, issues, transfers, returns, damage, adjustments and counts with the supporting project history. A transfer is completed through dispatch and receiving records; buying material does not automatically prove it has been consumed in completed work.

Subcontract packages, certificates and retention

Manage subcontract packages from tender comparison and award through versioned agreements, measured certificates, payments, retention and completion. Keep the certified value, payable balance and actual payment as distinct stages. If one subcontractor replaces another, preserve the first contractor's approved work and commercial history while controlling the successor's remaining scope.

Restricted subcontractor access can be granted for specific agreements and permitted work, certificate and document information, with expiry and revocation controls. Internal cost information and unrelated projects are not automatically shared.

Client valuations, claims, billing and receipts

Prepare client valuations from approved BOQ quantities and rates, previous certificates, eligible variations and the applicable retention, advance recovery or other agreed deductions. Keep claimed, certified, invoiced and paid amounts separate so the team can see which stage is still outstanding.

Client retention and subcontract retention remain separate obligations. Physical progress can be recorded before a client claim is billed or paid, and historical certificate values are retained when later claims are prepared.

Project accounting, allocations and forecasts

Approved construction records connect to the platform's internal accounting module with the relevant project detail. Review supplier and customer balances, payments, receipts, bank activity and financial reports without losing the source project. Shared costs can be allocated across projects on an agreed basis, while head-office and temporarily unallocated costs remain visible instead of being forced into a fictional job.

Compare the approved budget, actual cost, outstanding commitments and governed cost-to-complete forecast. Forecasts depend on complete records and approved assumptions. The reviewed construction scope does not include built-in QuickBooks or MRA invoice transmission; any separate Codeblix service must be assessed and described independently.

Roles, documents and day-to-day project operations

Separate permissions for estimating, procurement, receiving, stores, site entry, commercial approval and finance. Keep programme versions, daily site records, project documents, quality and safety evidence, defects and handover records connected to the job. Approved information can be shared selectively without making internal financial details public.

The declared construction scope is online operation. Any limited offline-capture requirement must be reviewed and demonstrated for the intended deployment before it is included in a quotation.

Implementation, data loading, training and support

Codeblix works with your commercial, site, stores, procurement and finance teams to understand the agreed process, configure the selected modules and responsibilities, and prepare a practical rollout. The implementation scope can include project and company setup, rate-library preparation, agreed starting data, user onboarding and role-based training using a representative project journey.

Codeblix provides full support across the agreed implementation and ongoing use of the platform, including user onboarding, data-loading assistance, workflow guidance, training, technical help and issue follow-up. Support channels, hours, included services and any enhanced service level are defined in the quotation and service agreement.

Construction software pricing and licence

Construction platform subscription licences start from Rs 7,500 per month. The final price depends on the company, selected modules and agreed scope. Implementation, data preparation, special integrations and additional services are assessed separately.

Custom implementation and workflow development are quoted separately and can reach Rs 200,000 or more, depending on the required features, data preparation, reports, integrations and rollout complexity. Rs 200,000 is neither a universal starting fee nor a maximum.

The application requires an active subscription licence supplied by Codeblix. The subscription gives authorised users the right to use the agreed hosted software services during the active period; it is not a sale of the platform or its source code. Codeblix retains ownership of its proprietary platform, while your company retains ownership of its company and project data. Access, export, retention and end-of-service arrangements are set out in the agreement.
