What this restaurant tutorial covers

Take bookings, track arrivals and no-shows, seat guests, manage group deposit rules and approve event menus. Follow the recorded screens and use the chapter links to return to a specific step. This is episode 3 of the Codeblix Restaurant training series.

Booking deposits are reviewed by staff. The demonstrated workflow does not automatically place a card hold, charge a guest or issue a refund. Email confirmations and reminders use the configured restaurant email service.

Episode three. Bookings, reservations, and events. This is Reservations, under Service. The day bar moves between today, tomorrow, and any date. Across the top: reservations, guests awaiting seating, tables in service, and free tables right now. The status tabs filter the list. Tap Confirmed to see only confirmed bookings, then All to see everything again. To take a booking, click Add Reservation. Start with the essentials: the guest's name, their phone number, the party size, and the arrival time. Add any allergies, so the kitchen knows before the guest sits down. Save the reservation, and it joins that evening's list. The guest gets a confirmation email, and a reminder the day before. Every booking card carries its next steps. Confirm the booking. When the guest walks in, tap Arrived, then choose a table, and tap Seat. Running late? Hold longer keeps the table for them. And if nobody arrives, the booking becomes a no-show twenty minutes after its time. Managers set the rules in Restaurant Operations Setup. Waiters can't open this page. Choose when service starts, the last arrival, open days, and when a group deposit is needed. Here, groups of six or more pay 1,600 rupees. Deposits are reviewed by staff. No card hold is taken, and nothing is charged or refunded automatically. For private functions, open Events and Menus. Each event has a date, a service window, a guest count, and a menu built from your recipes, with the planned cost per guest. A second manager approves the plan before the kitchen receives anything, and any change sends it back for approval. Next: the floor plan, and managing your tables.
