Episode four. The floor plan, and your tables. This is the floor, the home screen of the POS. The whole restaurant is drawn as one map: the dining room, with the bar in the middle, and the terrace outside. Dining tables are T1 to T14, the bar stools are B1 to B6, and the terrace tables are O1 to O12. The legend at the top explains the colours. Green is available. Purple is dining, with food in the kitchen, like T7. Yellow is reserved, like T2. Orange is ready to serve: T3 has a dish waiting. And the BOSS booth is locked. At the end of the strip, a running count of tables available and active. To look closer, tap the plus button. Up close, every table shows its name, its guests or seats, and its status. The minimap in the corner shows which part of the room you are looking at. Tap Fit to see the whole restaurant again. Managers can arrange tables right on the map. Drag T8 to its new spot, and the move is saved when you let go. The blue handle above the table turns it. Drag it round to straighten T8. Need another table? Tap Plus Table. Give it a name, an area, the number of seats, and a shape: round, square, or long. It appears in the middle of the floor you are looking at. We will cancel this one. For a walk-in, tap a free table. Here, T9. Choose how many guests: two. The waiter is assigned automatically. Then tap Seat and Start Order. T9 turns blue: seated. The panel shows the party size, the waiter, and the current check, ready for Add Items. A bigger party? Tap Join, and the tables you can join light up. Tap T10. It moves alongside T9: one party, one check. To move a party, tap the table, then Transfer, and select the destination table. The guests and their check are now on T11. When the kitchen finishes a dish, the floor tells you. Order up! T3 has one dish ready. Tap Show me. The map glides to T3 and opens its check, with the salad marked ready. The Kitchen button on the map opens the kitchen and bar screen, with every ticket and its progress. And Guide opens the help guides for every role. Next: the waiter screen, and taking orders.
