Give the developer a result your team can inspect.
Use a concrete store operation to define the work, its dependencies and the evidence that will close the development task.
Connect the storefront and operations
Describe the change from the customer action through the resulting order, inventory or shipment record. Identify any theme, plugin, administration screen or external system involved. Include the person who will confirm the customer experience and the person who will receive the operational result.
Keep warehouse quantities intelligible
For a fulfilment extension, separate on-hand, reserved and planned quantities. NC73 allocates six adapters across two warehouses and four cables at West. It holds quantities above each order reservation and requires the complete ten-unit plan before receiving.
Accept the source and the operating outcome
Make the final handoff more specific than a completed development ticket. Receive the changed source, installation requirements, exercised cases and record-level result. Agree who can approve release, own the plugin afterwards and arrange support for subsequent store changes.
Plan the shipment. Receive the quantities.
The NC73 workspace connects an order to three warehouse allocations. Review the reserved units, accept the complete plan and inspect its receipt.
Bring the order and its warehouse records.
Use the interactive exercise and primary nopCommerce references to make the first fulfilment task concrete.
Try the shipment planning workspace
Inspect NC73-104, then open Plan quantities. Set East adapters to five to see the warehouse-limit hold. Restore four, review the 4/2/4 allocation and select Receiving owner. Receive the plan and inspect the three-line receipt and retained stock values.
Open the NC73 shipment planning demoSeparate reserved and planned inventory
The nopCommerce inventory reference distinguishes order reservations from quantities already assigned to shipments. Use the inventory method and warehouse configuration of your installed store when specifying the extension. Include existing planned quantities in the receiving example.
nopCommerce primary reference: inventory managementDefine the shipment receiving state
The primary shipping reference describes warehouse filters, shipment details and shipped or delivered actions. Agree which of those states your change reaches and who may advance it. Keep planning, carrier dispatch and customer notification responsibilities explicit in the quotation.
nopCommerce primary reference: shipping managementScope other .NET application changes separately
If the request spans another .NET content application, identify that application and its own release owner. Give the store operation and the content change separate acceptance records while agreeing their shared interfaces.

Connect the requested work to the actual store branch and one complete acceptance journey.
Identify the store and its dependencies
Provide the nopCommerce and .NET versions, installed plugins, theme customizations, source arrangements and deployment environment. Name the store owner and technical contact. Identify restrictions on changing third-party extensions and arrange synthetic staging records for the first task.
Brief the first customer or operator journey
Choose the exact behavior to change and record the expected result. For NC73, the operator allocates an existing order across East and West reservations. Specify the order identity, item quantities, warehouse mapping and whether partial planning is allowed.
Agree the extension and integration boundary
Decide which changes belong in the store extension and which need an external contract. Define input and output fields, authorization, failure responses and reconciliation ownership. Include ERP, carrier or payment work in the quote only when its scope and prerequisites are established.
Exercise the quantity and permission cases
Receive a valid operation, an invalid warehouse allocation and a changed review. In NC73, the Planner reviews the plan and the Receiving owner accepts it. Define the equivalent server-side permissions and concurrent-change checks for the commissioned store implementation.
Reconcile the stored result
Inspect every affected order line and warehouse record. The NC73 receipt retains allocations of four, two and four while on-hand values stay twelve, eight and ten. Agree the production checks for repeated submissions, interrupted requests and any external acknowledgement.
Receive the release and support handoff
Agree acceptance evidence, source delivery, build prerequisites, configuration, rollback and release ownership. Schedule a staging review before production. Confirm defect handling, support coverage and how later plugin or platform upgrades will be commissioned.
Choose a bounded store engagement
- List the requested plugin, theme, administration, integration or upgrade outputs. Supply the installed release and extension inventory so the developer can distinguish configuration work from source changes and compatibility work.
- State the work-priority owner, review availability, target release constraints and expected commercial arrangement. Ask Codeblix to confirm capacity, milestones and the quotation for that scope. Include paid third-party extensions, hosting and external service costs separately when relevant.
- For migration work, identify the source store, product and order identifiers, inventory methods, media and required historical records. Agree mappings, dry-run reconciliation and a controlled cutover rather than treating migration as a generic import.
- Agree repository access, source ownership, build instructions and who maintains the delivered extension. Identify provider-managed dependencies and the responsibilities that continue after acceptance.
Receive the fulfilment change safely
- Map each allocation to an order line, SKU and warehouse. Agree the units and whether a partial plan is allowed. Include existing reservations and planned shipments, and verify that the accepted operation cannot over-allocate the order or silently consume another warehouse’s reservation.
- Name the roles that may prepare, review, receive, cancel or release a shipment. Exercise authorization in the actual server request path. Include concurrent edits and the response when source quantities change after review.
- Separate creating a plan from shipping goods. Agree when stock quantity changes, how a cancelled plan releases its quantities, and what happens when a carrier or external system does not acknowledge the handoff.
- Receive successful, rejected and repeated requests, then reconcile order and warehouse records. Agree installation, staging, deployment, rollback, defect handling and the support contact for the commissioned store change.
A shipment plan with six receiving records
NC73 makes one order, its warehouse reservations and the accepted plan inspectable together.
| Record | Example inputs | Required output and control |
|---|---|---|
| Order | NC73-104 / 10 units | Require all six adapters and four cables in the reviewed plan. |
| Order lines | Adapter: 6 / Cable: 4 | Keep the product totals tied to their order-line identities. |
| Warehouse reservation | Adapter East 4 / West 2; Cable West 4 | Hold any allocation above the order reservation at that warehouse. |
| Reviewed plan | Three allocation quantities: 4 / 2 / 4 | Editing a quantity clears the review and requires another check. |
| Receiving authority | Planner / Receiving owner | The Planner reviews; the Receiving owner accepts the unchanged reviewed plan. |
| Receipt | NC73-R01 / on hand 12 / 8 / 10 | Retain three allocation lines, move reserved units to planned and preserve on-hand values. |
Adapter has four order-reserved units at East and two at West; Cable has four at West. East adapters already have two planned units and West adapters have one. Review allocations of four, two and four. A five-unit East adapter allocation is held. Receiving the valid complete plan clears the order reservations and raises planned quantities to six, three and four. On-hand quantities remain twelve, eight and ten. The receipt identifies NC73-104 and all three allocation rows. The exercise closes receiving after the first receipt; the commissioned implementation should also receive duplicate and concurrent requests against its stored records.
Discuss the same store change with each provider.
Give each development provider the installed release, one reproducible operation and the same receiving conditions.

What should we send for a nopCommerce development quote?
Provide the nopCommerce and .NET versions, plugin and theme inventory, source arrangements and the first journey to change. Include synthetic inputs, expected records and a contact who can arrange staging access and approve the outcome. State any release deadline and external dependencies.
Can the engagement focus on a plugin or an existing store?
Describe the specific plugin change, administration behavior or storefront journey you need commissioned. Include the current source and any third-party maintenance constraints. Agree the change boundary, version compatibility and regression cases with Codeblix before accepting the quotation.
How are developer capacity and project costs agreed?
Request a quotation for the actual backlog and review arrangements. Confirm the proposed allocation, milestones, collaboration window, source delivery and treatment of scope changes. Identify third-party licensing, hosting and external services separately where they are required.
What can our team inspect in the shipment demonstration?
The NC73 workspace validates three warehouse allocations for a ten-unit order. It holds an allocation above its reservation, requires the complete order, separates Planner and Receiving owner actions and produces a three-line receipt while retaining on-hand quantities.
Can the work include ERP or carrier integration?
Include the external system, supported access arrangement, data contract and receiving owner in the request. Agree synchronization direction, identifiers, retries, failures and reconciliation. Confirm the required integration work and external prerequisites as part of the quotation.
How should migration and release be accepted?
Agree source mappings, a staging import or deployment, record reconciliation and customer-journey checks for the installed store. Assign cutover, backups, rollback and production release responsibilities. Receive the changed source and operating instructions with the accepted cases.
What should be included in the support handoff?
Receive installation and build prerequisites, configuration, version compatibility, accepted examples and recovery instructions. Confirm defect handling, the support contact and coverage terms. Agree how later platform or third-party plugin changes will be reviewed and commissioned.
