EBS vs POS: Which Does Your Mauritius Business Need?

Many businesses need both. Here is how to decide.

An EBS (E-Billing System) is a system that issues MRA-compliant invoices. A POS (Point of Sale) is a system that processes sales at the till.

You need an EBS if:

  • You issue invoices to customers (most businesses)
  • You are VAT-registered
  • You need to comply with MRA e-invoicing

You need a POS if:

  • You have a physical till (retail, restaurant, etc.)
  • You process many small transactions per day
  • You need barcode scanning or thermal receipt printing

You probably need both

Most retail and hospitality businesses need both. The good news: Codeblix EBS includes both. The POS module is part of the same system, and every POS receipt is a MRA-fiscalised invoice.
