How to Issue a Fiscal Invoice Offline

Internet outages happen. Power cuts happen. The MRA e-invoicing system might be down. Your EBS must keep working.

What happens when the MRA endpoint is unreachable

When your EBS cannot reach the MRA:

1. The invoice is still issued with a sequential counter
2. The QR code space shows "Not Yet Fiscalised"
3. The IRN field is empty (or marked pending)
4. The hash chain is still calculated

When the connection returns

1. Your EBS detects the connection is back
2. It identifies all unfiscalised invoices
3. It sends them to the MRA in batch
4. IRNs are received and stored
5. QR codes are generated and stored

How long can you stay offline?

The MRA allows offline operation. Your EBS will batch-fiscalise when the connection returns. There is no manual intervention required.
